Food is great and the employees make you feel like you are at home.

Food is great, however there isn't any compensation when they make a mistake on food orders, which tends to happen quite often. Wasted of gas because of it

I’ve been eating here for 10 years now. They redid the inside and it looks very nice! I like the new fries too.

Place was packed but well worth the wait, my chicken wrap was the freshest I've had, and the size of the buffalo chicken sandwich had me full the second I saw it. I recommend to everyone I know who's looking for great food at a great price!

Love this place. Chicken fingers, burgers, and wings are always on point. My favorite is the palmetto cheese burger!Just a heads up for those wanting to try the Ming (Ugly but Good). It’s not for everyone, after two wings the burnt crust starts to get too overwhelming. I ordered 10 wings and could only eat 3 before starting to feel sick today. Again, love this place but these wings were bad enough that I just had to post a warning for anyone that might be curious about them.

My favorite for chicken wings, hands down. I love the crispy finish and well cooked meat. Flavor is delightful. Oh my, did I mention the fried green tomatoes, well, there you have it!

The food wasn't bad. It wasn't great it was just ok. My family and I went together (5) the food came out and we had to wait 10mins for 1 of us to get just 5 wings. The waitress wasnt around much, had to wait on her to stop socializing to get a cup of water. I truly wanted to like this place. When it was chicken Shaq it was my families favorite place to go, and they still seem to have the bad habits as before, even with new ownership. The restaurant itself looks great though clean and brighter, but that doesn't help poor service and missing items. If a table orders together the food should come out together. Once again I wanted to like this place, I really did but I was disappointed.

Ordered a 10 piece honey hot wings with fries. I ended up throwing it away due to huge feathers and hair being on the chicken and fries were in the same box as my wings...a sloppy mess and I definitely won't be going back. Wondering if they even take the time out to clean the chicken properly before just dropping it in the grease and serving it to people!

Service was fantastic - very fast, patient and attentive. Fried pickles we're delicious with a touch of spice. I was blown away by the wing flavor options. I highly suggest the king sampler to try multiple flavors. Carolina gold was the best!

Every since the waiters/ some cooks have changed the service has not been the same. Ive been dining there for over 13 years and i can't recall the last time i had poor service. I do understand change but i think i will have to find me another restaurant for me and my family. It was great while it lasted.

Don't let the 10pm closing sign fool you. Walk in at 9:23 and get turned away. "Sorry were closed"

Eric and I have been long time customers of this establishment and have to admit everyone has their good days and bad, but yesterday was phenomenal. The customer service by the new manager was excellent, to say the least. I think they're on their way back. I hope they can stay customer oriented and focused. Kudos guys! We'll be back again to see what else has changed inside. 😉

First time ordering food there and it was to go. It was a nice sized crowd and very busy. The pick up was nice and courteous not a long wait. The order was correct and the food was great. I will continue to go there.

Do not EVER waste your time or money. Got a Togo order of chicken tenders and fries. And two kids meals with chicken and fries and took 50 minutes to get it. Asked for a manger nobody came. Kept asking what was going on and they said it was unorganized. Worst customer service ever! They weren’t even busy. Will NEVER return.

Great burgers but starting to go down hill

The new ownership has really changed this place. The kitchen looks very unsanitary. The service is terrible. Good Bye Chicken Shak!! I’ve had a lot of good times here over the years, but I will not be coming back.

I ordered the family pack last week (wings, fries & fried oreos) & I really wish I had taken a picture of what I was given. The wings were white! They were rubbery & severely undercooked, not even safe to eat! The fries were fine & the oreos were burned. Terrible experience & waste of money. We tried to eat a few & ended up throwing the majority of it away. I really can't believe they sent it out of the kitchen like that.

Been here 3 times. They are extremely rude every time. Glad I've never actually cared to eat the food

Food is excellent but calling in an order is impossible frequently. Out of our last 5 call-ins, 3 orders weren't correct. Half-orders for apps (onion rings, fried pickle spears) are low-volume and way more expensive than they should be for what you get ($3.25 for a half order of onion rings and, no kidding, we got 7 onion rings and 2 were tiny). Wings and fingers are top-notch, though, so that saved the 4* rating.

I'm from close to Buffalo, NY and I've been searching for good chicken wings down here. Chicken Shak has them! So good! Will definitely be going back!

I didn't hate it but the chicken is fried to hard

Horrible just horrible called in my food thirty five minutes early the fact it's a holiday. I get there and they tell me my order is not ready. I waited a hour remind you they already took my money. Then they tell me something got messed up so I have another 35 minute wait. People came in ordered and left before I did. Really really disappointed because they will really look over you.

I really enjoy the wings here and the burger is delicious, but the service is surely lacking. I saw our food come up in the window and just sit there while our server stood nearby. The waitstaff didn't seem to look out for each other, so no team work. It was disappointing, next time I'll order take out.

Ordered grub hub from this place , the food is good alot of time don't have what's in the menu, if you don't have it don't advertise it in grub hub

We had 3 people in our group and after placing our order 2 more groups came in and one of the other groups had about 6 people and the next ones were a party of 4. Now keep in mind we had already placed our order, yet both of the others that came in after us got their orders before us. Our waitress saw we weren't happy about it and said our order was coming right up... We waited a few more minutes and finally we got our food. I ask for no seasoning on my fries but I got it anyway... What has happened with the old Shak?

Very good fresh foods, nice location, and southern hospitality. I love their buffalo chicken sandwich. Keep up the good work guys.

Dont waste your time here! I've been going here for the last 6 years and now it has been sold to an individual that is obviously a cheap skate! I'll never return after how terrible it's been since the the new ownership times..

What a joke...DoorDash didn’t work...Grubhub didn’t work...called 3 times - on hold over 10 minutes...they hung up on me the second two times - see ya! We will get our wings somewhere else!

Hadnt ate here in a while althought i used to a bunch . was very good the way i remebered. Always a treat to eat here.

Has gone down hill since the name change... I called in an order and got there later then asked and still waited an hour after getting there. Spent $70 and waited that long just for the order to still be wrong. Will think twice before ordering here again.

Hands down the best wings I’ve eaten since moving to Charlotte. Everything I’ve tried at the Chicken Shak was delicious. This place is well worth a visit. Plus there is some Steeler memorabilia on the wall. That makes this place 6 stars but I can only give 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chicken wings & staff were very friendly! Jumpin sports joint with great food.

Not the friendliest or most professional staff. However, their food is amazing. The wings are meaty and cooked very well. All their sauces are flavorful--try the spicy garlic parm--and their ranch is spot-on.

Not a place for a quick bite. Took me 45 minutes to get my sandwich and another 5 to get the fries that came with the meal. Delicious Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, friendly staff. Make sure you have PLENTY of time. If it weren't for the food, I would have given one star.

I am not one to complain about “first world problems”. I don’t even leave reviews. Trust me there are a lot worse things that can happen to me in a day then having long wait times at a restaurant and if that is the “worst” thing that happened to me that day, well I had a good day. But the wait times have been a consistent issue for years and the name change has clearly not helped with that at all. The place has good food for sure and I want to keep coming here but I have had far too many 40 mins to an 1 hour and a half minute wait times just for 10 wings and fries. Please do something about your wait times.

Bacon/mushroom burger was good .fried mushrooms were a bit on the spicy side are not to be spicy when served fried mushrooms have alot of flavor dipping sauce would be better.

If I could give negative stars tonight, I would! I placed a phone order that took over an hour to be filled!! I was told it would be 30 minutes after placing the order, and after checking on the order (after an hour), I was told it would be an additional 10 minutes. This 10 minutes turned into 20 minutes! The manager Amanda offered me fried oreos for my trouble. No ma'am...a good manager offers a refund PLUS the order in my opinion! I'm not sure this new management idea was a good one!

I visited the Chicken Shack last Sunday, about the second time we’ve dined from here. I placed a to go order, The King Sampler. I waited for almost 40 minutes for my order. That’s fine, I was patient. When I finally got my order, I thanked everyone and headed home, in the country. When I got home and opened my wings, it was nothing that I ordered. I thought that the girl that got my order bagged up checked it because she looked at the ticket, and I thought that she looked at the food as well. I got my ticket and looked at it and it was exactly what I ordered on the ticket. To add the cherry on top, I specifically asked for celery and got none. I was too hungry to drive all the way back to town, so I just ate what I got. I tried to call the restaurant several times that evening, and the phone rang I know it had to have been at lest 20 times, so I finally gave up. My order was over $30 including the tip, which I feel is a terrible price to pay for something I didn’t even order.

The lady tock a long time to give me MY FLIPPED SALED and I found a hair in my food it was a brown hair DO NOT EAT THERE I WAS REALLY MAD SO I GAVE NO TIP AND I GOT A REFUNE FOR MY FOOD DO NOT GO THERE IF THE LADY NAMED ZOEY THEN DONT HAVE HER SURV U

Not good..Food barley average. Owner seems cheap. No wifi. Waitress had no idea what Chardonnay was and it was warm on the counter. Food was served wrong. TVS available but no channels to watch. First clue Should have been no one was in there. Waitresses arguing with each other behind the counter right in front of customers. She couldn't wait to get done with her shift.

I was kinda "ify" about eating there.... I'm totally happy that we did!! There was an issue with the time and wait for a to-go order, however it was totally worth it!! I will definitely be going back!!!!

As time goes by this place gets better & better! Staff is Awesome! Cooks are incredible & their rules are their rules! Wonderful meeting spot. To me, u get best results at Lunch Time! The Manager is the BEST.. she just needs a little more HELP to fully take this place to another level!! Duvall (head Chef) is the best cook there.... (R.I.P to Jayquis)

Very good chicken wings. Their chicken sandwich is massive and the salads are even delicious. Try the salad with blackened chicken if you are on a diet.

Ordered the king platter wings which on the phone app. Is 21 dollars plus change. Then ordered 10 more wings for 8.75. And a tea. My total was 41 dollars and some change. The platter price is wrong on their app. I called back and talk to someone and they said they would let the manager know. Please ask when calling in about the prices.

I have called 15 times from different numbers no one ever answered. I'm now stuck with a a drive thru.
